8. april 30 – may 6

alrighty then, onto this week’s plan.  It’s going to be a bit of a crazy week socially, as a darling friend of mine from Cayman’s just told me that she’s visiting, plus I’m teaching pole, taking a trapeze lesson and fitting in a social life as well!

Luckily next Monday’s a bank hol so at least I’ll get some rest in then!

the plan

monday:  p90x2 (total body + x2 ab ripper) + hypoxi

tuesday:  p90x2 (x-stretch) + pole (teaching)

wednesday:  p90x2 (x2 balance and power) + hypoxi + puma faas claas

thursday:  personal training + trapeze

friday:  p90x2 (x2 core) + hypoxi

saturday:  p90x2 (plyocide) + burlesque (teaching) + swim

sunday:  bikram yoga + gymnastics + p90x2 (x2 recovery and mobility)

It’s a bit of a quieter week than usual because I know I’ve got a lot on outside of exercise, and also I know I’m working from home on Thursday so I won’t be able to make ViPR which automatically cuts out one class.  I’m hoping therefore that I actually make everything on the list!

the results

right, well I think we could call this the week of total collapse haha!  Wow, did I burn out towards the end of the week (and, if I’m honest, I went into the week burned out, so no real surprises there).  On Friday I called a time-out and went into rest and recovery week, but here’s how I did overall.

monday

p90x2:   total body and x2 ab ripper were both sooooooooo hard this week … I think all my numbers were down and it was an unbelievable struggle.  Such is life, some days are just harder than others!

hypoxi:  cancelled today as there were no suits left in my size.  I was actually really grateful because I was so tired.  zzzzzzzzzzzz.

tuesday

p90x2 (x-stretch):  oops, ended up being a rest day!

hypoxi:  all good really!  Hypoxi’s … just hypoxi …

pole (teaching):  man I was soooooooooo nervous ’cause this was my first lesson teaching for LAPD and I had no idea how it would go.  I think I burned off about a billion calories just in nervous tension.  The class was so much fun though – but so knackering!

wednesday

p90x2 (x2 balance and power):  ARGH!  DVD disaster!  Thwarted by my evil DVD …

hypoxi:  just hypoxi.  Suit was pretty tight.

puma faas claas:  so, so tough.  I nearly cried.

thursday

personal training:  another mammothly hard one – with four hundreds!  After burpees last night!!!!!  Unbelievable!!  And then strip-sets with rows and deadlifts.  Sob!

trapeze:  thank GOD an easier session.  Phew.  Or I might’ve cried.

friday

p90x2 (chest & back & balls):  total bust.  I just couldn’t do it.  Rest week starts today!

hypoxi:  coolio … just another session.  I was tired and looking forward to getting home!

saturday

burlesque (teaching):  wow a lot of teaching for one who’s meant to be resting!  Five hours of it, to be exact.  That’s a lot of laughing, dancing, pulling silly faces and clapping.

sunday  

gymnastics:  despite my restiness, gymnastics wasn’t waiting for anyone, so off I trundled.  Didn’t go too well, but I did discover elastic stretching which I’ll be posting about soon, it was awesome!

round-up

basically, it was definitely a half-hearted week although I did try my best.  My mind was willing but my flesh was weak.  Very weak.  Never mind – after a lovely rest week this week I’ll be back in the game!
